your nippers involvement

OGSLSC relies fully on volunteers to deliver our Nippers programs. We expect all parents to get involved in some way. There is a role to suit everyone!

The Nippers Junior Activities Committee coordinates and manages the delivery of the Nipper programs.  It takes a vast number of roles to safely run a Nipper program for the enjoyment of all kids.  It is an expectation of Nipper parents that everyone will help in some way to run the program either in formal roles or helping on the beach.

Actively participating as a volunteer is one of the best ways to watch and assist your children develop their skills and confidence around the beach and water.

Please see details of the committee and roles below.

If you would like to contribute in any of the roles listed below, email

On 15th October 2023 we held a parent information session in the club lounge. Click here to view the presentation slides

Even if you don’t hold a Bronze Medallion, there will be a role to suit you.

If you are keen to gain your Bronze and help out with water safety, that’s great! We run an Adults Bronze course in September/October each year. More info at Lifesaving/Awards&Training/Upcoming courses.
