IRB Driver Course
Point Lonsdale SLSC will be running an IRB Driver course soon. Details to come, but register your interest now with Wes. We are hoping people enrolled in the February Crew course can be “crewified” before the Drivers course begins.
Senior (Level II) First Aid

Training and Development

National Leadership College

The National Leadership College provides an exciting opportunity for young people within the movement to further develop their leadership skills and continue to positively contribute to the success of SLS.

The college will challenge, inspire, motivate and empower young people through an interactive, dynamic and innovative environment.  As well as learning new skills and creating opportunities for personal growth, the college will open up new networks with other likeminded passionate members across the country, who also are committed to making a difference within the movement.

The program is diverse, combining inspiring guest speakers, workshops and activities.

Where and When?

The National Leadership College 2015 will be held 8 February – 13 February 2016 at St Pauls College, University of Sydney, Sydney.

How can I apply?

Download and complete the application form here. Make sure it’s endorsed by your Club President and Branch (if applicable).
Applications must be given to your Branch (if applicable) by 27 November 2015.
Applications must be given to your State by 4 December 2015.
SLSA will notify successful applicants by 18 December 2015.
Payment for the college will be required upon acceptance into the program. We recommend you talk to your club and state about payment for the college as they might be willing to help out.

Building Leaders Scholarship

Members aged between 18-25 yrs are invited to apply for LSV’s Building Leaders Scholarship, a unique and innovative professional development program and the pinnacle of LSV’s Leadership Pathway. This program will provide participants with opportunities to excel both personally and professionally through meaningful workshops, advanced leadership development and specialised training. Applications close March 1.

Core leadership competencies will be established under the guidance of experts from lifesaving, business and the community; exposing scholars to state wide professional and personal networks and highlighting the prospects available if they wish to seek and peruse leadership roles in the future.

The Building Leaders Scholarship program culminates with a two week trip to Sri Lanka.  During this trip scholars will gain exposure to international lifesaving practices and training and unique cultural experiences.

BUILDING LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS INCLUDE:
