Removal of surf craft from clubhouse
With the pending redevelopment of the Ocean Grove SLSC club house the Committee of Management made a decision to sell craft that had been stored at the club by non-financial members of the Ocean Grove SLSC. At least two emails were sent to all archived members requesting their removal, starting three months prior to the sale. On 18 November 2017, these craft were either sold by the club to recover some of the cost of storage or disposed of as scrap.
Financial members are also requested to take home any stored craft if they are not currently being used.
If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Nick Bohan 0417 034 877.
Building Project Update
The new clubroom plans are still with the City of Greater Geelong, awaiting planning approval. Go to the Members section of this website for a look at the plans, along with a letter from President David Pavia.
The latest estimate is for demolition in March 2018.
